Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati to Cherrapunjee VIA Umiam Lake

  • Highlights: Meet & Greet at Arrival, embark on a scenic drive to Cherrapunjee; en route, visit Umiam Lake, a picturesque spot surrounded by hills, Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the region, and then Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint for a breathtaking view of the valleys.
  • Overnight Stay: Cherrapunjee Town

 

Day 2: A Day Exploring Cherrapunjee

  • Highlights: Visit the Garden of Caves, Wah Kaba Falls and Awrah, Cave which offer stunning natural beauty. Spend some time at Eco Park for breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and hills. Then drive to Nohkalikai Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India, Wei Sawdong Falls, Seven Sister Falls, and the beautiful Mawsmai Cave
  • Overnight Stay: Cherrapunjee Town

 

Day 3: Cherrapunjee to Mawlynnong to Dawki & Back to Shillong

  • Highlights: Visit Mawlynnong, Asia's Cleanest Village, and take a walk through its pristine environment. Explore Living Root Bridge,  a natural wonder made from the roots of trees, and the Balancing Rock. Then, head to Dawki for boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River,then return to Shillong in the evening.
  • Overnight Stay: Shillong Town

 

Day 4: A Day at Shillong and its Surroundings

  • Highlights: Explore Ward's Lake and its beautiful gardens. Visit the Shillong Golf Course and the Cathedral Church. Enjoy a moderate trek to Bull’s Trek, a scenic hike, followed by a visit to the Laitlum Grand Canyon for stunning valley views. Evening explore the local Police Bazar Market for souvenirs.

Day 5: Shiilong to Kaziranga VIA Mahamritunjay Temple

  • Highlights: The Maha Mrityunjay Temple, the largest Shivalinga in the world, continue your drive to Kaziranga, the famous wildlife sanctuary.

Day 6: A Day at Kaziranga National Park 

  • Highlights: Explore the rich wildlife of Kaziranga with an Elephant Safari and a Jeep Safari to spot the famed one-horned rhinoceros and other wildlife. Visit the National Orchid and Biodiversity Park to witness the region’s unique flora.

Day 7: Kaziranga to Dirang VIA Bhalukpong

  • Highlights: Begin the journey to Dirang, stopping at Lumum Waterfall and Tippi Orchid Research Centre, known for its exotic species of orchids. Visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, a haven for orchid lovers and nature enthusiasts.
  • Overnight Stay: Dirang Town

 

Day 8: Dirang to Tawang

  • Highlights: Sela Pass (Second Highest Pass in India at 13700 ft above sea level), Stunning Sela Lake (Frozen During Winter Season), Jaswantgarh Indo-Chinese War Memorial and Huge Jung (Nurarang) Waterfalls
  • Overnight Stay: Tawang Town

 

Day 9: A Day at Bumla Pass & Sangster Lake

  • Highlights: Visit the Pangateng Tso Lake. Witness the Bumla Pass at the Indo-China border (15,200 ft above sea level), Visit the famous and ever-beautiful Sangetsar Lake also known as Madhuri Lake
  • Overnight Stay: Tawang Town

 

Day 10: A Day at the Historic Tawang Town

  • Highlights: Tawang Monastery - the largest monastery in the country. It is situated in the valley of the Tawang Chu, in close proximity to the Chinese and Bhutanese border. Visit at the Taktsang Gompa, Giant Buddha Statue and Tawang War Memoria. Shop at the local Craft Center and Emporium
  • Overnight Stay: Tawang Town

 

Day 11: Tawang to Bomdila VIA Sela Tunnel

  • Highlights: Drive back to the beautiful town of Bomdila VIA the amazing Sela Tunnel - this tunnel is the longest bi-lane tunnel in the world at 13,000 feet, situated 400 metres below the Sela Pass. Upon arrival visit at Bomdila Monastery
  • Overnight Stay: Bomdila Town

 

Day 12 Bomdila to Guwahati Airport/Station

  • Highlights: En-route stop at Chilipam/Zangdokpalri Monastery and Buddha Heritage Park then, Drive through the highlander landscapes to Guwahati Airport/Station with everlasting memories of Tawang Trip

    • All sightseeing can be completed with a timely start and return to the hotel
    • Any changes in the itinerary or travel plan may change the package cost
    • Vehicle duty is limited to 12 hours per day; extra hours charged at ₹300 per hour
